The table carries everything this page knows. Rain is a monthly total in millimetres, rain days are the average number of days with measurable rain, and the temperatures are long-term averages for the Da Nang station — not a forecast for your week.

| Month | Rain | Rain days | Day °C | Night °C | Swim |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| January | 83 mm | 14 | 25.2 | 19.7 | Cool water |
| February | 22 mm | 7 | 26.3 | 20.4 | Cool water |
| March | 36 mm | 7 | 28.4 | 22.1 | Good |
| April | 50 mm | 7 | 30.9 | 24.0 | Warm |
| May | 71 mm | 10 | 33.4 | 25.4 | Warm |
| June | 68 mm | 9 | 34.9 | 26.3 | Warm, hot air |
| July | 92 mm | 12 | 34.4 | 26.0 | Warm |
| August | 167 mm | 14 | 34.0 | 25.8 | Flags common |
| September | 394 mm | 17 | 32.0 | 24.8 | Rough days |
| October | 658 mm | 21 | 29.6 | 23.7 | Rough days |
| November | 486 mm | 21 | 27.7 | 22.5 | Rough days |
| December | 272 mm | 21 | 25.3 | 20.5 | Cool water |
If you only read two columns, read rain days and the swim note. A month with 21 rain days and 272 mm is not the same as a month with 21 rain days and 658 mm: same number of wet days, very different amounts of water.
How to read the numbers
Rainfall totals hide intensity. October's 658 mm falls in long, heavy bands; December's 272 mm falls in short, lighter showers across the same 21 days. That is why December is easier to travel in than the raw ranking suggests.
Temperature averages hide the middle of the day. A 30.9°C average in April means mornings near 25°C and afternoons above 33°C — the average is not the temperature at 13:00.
Rain days are the most useful column for planning, because they tell you how many days might change. Seven rain days in March means most of your week will go as planned; twenty-one in October means the plan needs a second version.
Swimming, honestly
We do not publish sea temperatures, because we could not find a checked series for this coast and a number invented here would be worse than none. What we can tell you is the air temperature and how often the flags go up.
The swimmable season on this beach runs roughly from March to September, with August and September the months when red flags appear most often because of swell. From December to February people swim, but briefly, and the beach is at its emptiest.
Where these numbers come from
All twelve rows come from the World Meteorological Organization's station data for Da Nang, retrieved on 2 November 2026. The same table drives every month page on this site, in English and in Korean, so a number you read here will match the number there.
What the table cannot do: tell you which hours of your dates will be wet, or whether the sea will be calm on the morning you arrive. The station publishes monthly averages, not an hourly forecast.
- Month page for what it feels like: December, March, April.
- Beach timing and flags: My Khe beach day.
- If it rains: indoor stops with hours and prices.
How to use it for a real booking
Start with the month you can travel, not with the month you would like. Then look at two columns: rain days and the swim note. If you can move by a month, moving from October to November removes 172 mm from the same 21 rain days.
The second decision is where you sleep. A wet month argues for the river side, a dry month for the beach strip; the difference is a six-minute ride either way, but it decides your evenings.
The third is what you book in advance. Cable-car tickets and one dinner are worth fixing; day tours are not, because the weather, not the calendar, decides those.
A rest hour near the end of the day
