Checkout times vary by hotel, so confirm yours when you book. With bags held at the hotel, ten hours fits a museum, a beach hour and dinner; the airport is 6 km from An Thuong, 3.5 km from Han Market and 16.2 km from Son Tra.

The bag problem first
Checkout times in this city are set hotel by hotel and we will not quote one as a rule. What is worth doing is asking two questions when you book: what time is checkout, and will you hold our bags afterwards.
Most hotels that hold bags do it at no charge, but that is their decision rather than a published policy, so confirm it in writing — a message thread is enough. A hotel that will not hold them changes the whole day.
One thing that helps: you can leave a suitcase or bag at our salon while your service is done, then go straight to the airport. If you are planning the day around a foot spa, do it with the bags already somewhere — the hotel, or the airport if your airline takes them early.
Distances that decide your morning
Everything here is close, which is exactly why a ten-hour gap works. The airport sits inside the city: six kilometres to the beach strip, three and a half to the river, sixteen to the pagoda on Son Tra.

| From the airport | Distance | Time | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| An Thuong / My Khe | 6.0 km | 10 min | Beach, bags at hotel |
| Han Market / river | 3.5 km | 7 min | Market, museums |
| Dragon Bridge | 6.3 km | 10 min | Evening walk |
| Son Tra pagoda | 16.2 km | 20 min | A view, half a day |
| Marble Mountains | 11.7 km | 18 min | Caves, two hours |
| Hoi An | 30.7 km | 32 min | Only for a long gap |
The rule of thumb: keep the last four hours inside the six-kilometre ring, and let the morning be ambitious instead.
Hours left, what fits
swipe →
| Time you have | What fits | Watch out |
|---|---|---|
| 2–3 hours | Lunch, or a service with your bag kept at the salon, then a Grab to the airport (6.0 km from An Thuong) | Too short for a museum |
| 4–5 hours | One museum, or the beach | Museums close at 17:00 |
| 6–8 hours | Museum plus beach plus dinner | Keep bags settled first |
| 9–12 hours | A half-day out: Son Tra, or the Marble Mountains | Return in daylight |
Two fixed hours matter. The museums, the Marble Mountains and every ticketed site close between 16:30 and 17:00. The beach has no closing time, which is why it is the right thing to do last.
If your gap includes a hot middle of the day, an indoor hour is not a compromise: it is the only way to arrive at the airport not exhausted.
The night flight
For a departure after 22:00 the plan is dinner at 19:00 and the airport by 20:30, which leaves the whole afternoon open. The drive is ten minutes from the beach strip, so the margin is yours to spend on the day rather than on the road.
On a Friday, Saturday or Sunday the bridge show at 21:00 is possible if your flight is very late, but do not build a departure around a five-minute event that starts when you should already be checking in.
For a red-eye, sleep matters more than sightseeing. A late checkout, a hotel that holds bags, and a slow lunch is a better day than three sights and a 03:00 taxi.
Two ways to save the day
The first is a later checkout. Hotels sell it as an extra rather than a right, and it is worth asking at booking rather than at the desk, when the answer is more likely to be yes.
The second is a day room for a few hours. We do not publish prices for that either, because it is priced per hotel and per season — the desk is the only source that is current.
A rest hour near the end of the day
LENA Nails & Beauty (our salon)

Questions people ask
What time is checkout in Da Nang?
It is set by each hotel and we will not quote one as a rule. Ask when you book, and ask about bag storage in the same message.
Where can I leave my bags?
Ask your hotel first — most hold bags after checkout, but it is their policy rather than a published one. You can leave a suitcase or bag at our salon while you have your nails or feet done.
How far is the airport from the beach?
6.0 km from An Thuong and My Khe, about ten minutes outside rush hour.
Is Hoi An possible on a checkout day?
Only with nine hours or more: 30.7 km and about 32 minutes each way leaves little room for the town.
Can I use a spa with my bags?
Plan the bag first. A foot spa works if the bags are at the hotel or already at the airport.
Can I bring my suitcase to the salon before my flight?
Yes — you can leave a suitcase or bag at our salon while your service is done. It is not a left-luggage service, so it covers the time you are with us, not a day of sightseeing. From An Thuong the airport is 6.0 km, about ten minutes.
