Da Nang airport is 6.0 km from the An Thuong strip, about ten minutes by road, and 3.5 km from Han Market. A metered taxi or a Grab booked in the app is the normal way to make that transfer from the terminal.

The numbers
Da Nang's international terminal sits on the west bank of the Han River, inside the city rather than out on a ring road. From arrivals to the beach strip at My Khe and An Thuong is 6.0 km, about ten minutes outside rush hour.

| Destination | Distance | Time |

| Dragon Bridge | 6.3 km | 10 min |

Three ways out of arrivals
The taxi rank is outside the terminal and metered; the Grab pick-up point is signed and usually a short walk further out. Both are normal. The third option — a hotel transfer — is worth it only if you land after midnight or you are going straight to Hoi An.
We do not publish fares. They move with hour, demand and the app; a number printed here would be wrong by the time you land. What stays true is the distance: six kilometres, ten minutes, and a meter that starts before the car moves.
Three things to settle before you leave arrivals
- Cash. A little, for the transfer and the first coffee. Not a lot — the city runs on small notes.
- Data. A local eSIM or a roaming plan, because the app that calls the car needs it.
- The hotel's exact address in Vietnamese. 'My Khe' is a beach, not an address.
The last one is the one that goes wrong. Hotel names repeat across districts and a driver who hears "An Thuong" will take you to the street, not to the door. Have the address saved as text or a screenshot.
Where you are actually going
Two bases matter. The beach strip at My Khe and An Thuong is 6 km from the terminal, walkable to the sand, and close to the restaurants most visitors end up eating in.
The river side, around Han Market and the Dragon Bridge, is 3.5 km from the terminal and a different holiday: markets, museums, the bridge show at 21:00 on weekend nights, and a short ride to the beach when you want it.
If you land in the evening, the bridge show is the one thing worth timing: 21:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, two minutes of fire and three of water, and it is 6.3 km from the airport.
Bags, and the two hours after landing
Most hotels on the beach strip and the river side will hold bags before check-in, which turns an early landing into a usable morning. Confirm it when you book rather than at the desk, because it is the difference between a day and a queue. If you are heading straight out to a service, you can leave a suitcase or bag at our salon while it is done.
The airport is small enough that the walk from the gate to the exit is short, and big enough that the taxi rank is a scrum after a wide-body lands. If two flights arrive together, the app usually beats the rank.
If your flight lands after 22:00, book the transfer in the app before you board — the price is fixed, and you are not negotiating a meter at midnight with a suitcase.

Questions people ask
How far is Da Nang airport from the beach?
6.0 km to the An Thuong and My Khe strip, about ten minutes outside rush hour.
Is Grab available at the airport?
Yes, with a signed pick-up point a short walk from the terminal exit. A metered taxi from the rank is the other normal option.
How much is the transfer?
We do not print fares — they move with hour and demand. The distance is 6.0 km, and the meter starts before the car moves.
Should I stay near the airport?
Only for a very late arrival or an early departure. The city centre is 3.5 km and the beach 6.0 km — both closer than most airport hotels are to anything.
How much is a taxi from Da Nang airport to the city?
We do not print fares, because the app quotes on the day. The distance is 6.0 km to the beach strip and 3.5 km to Han Market, which is what a fare is computed from.
Are there taxis at Da Nang airport at night?
Yes, the rank runs whenever flights land. Booking in the app before you board fixes the price and avoids a midnight negotiation.
