A spa half-day in Da Nang, planned around the heat

The right hour for it is the hour you would otherwise waste: 11:00 to 15:00, when the beach is hot and the museums are done.

Short answer

Plan the spa for 11:00–15:00, when the heat makes everything else hard. A foot spa in Da Nang can mean a quick soak or a full treatment, and prices here run from about 100,000₫ for a basic manicure to 400,000₫ for the full foot ritual — always confirm what is included before you start.

Why a spa, and why at that hour

Da Nang's middle of the day is not a design flaw, it is a schedule: 31–34°C between 11:00 and 15:00, sand that burns, and a city that sensibly goes quiet. A spa hour is the most efficient thing to do with it.

The second reason is physical. A day of walking — the Marble Mountains in the morning, the beach in the afternoon — ends in feet that have had enough. An hour on a chair in the middle of it changes the last four hours of the day.

It also solves a wet afternoon, which is the third reason: a spa is indoors, has fixed prices and no weather risk, and it does not care what the sky does.

What a foot spa actually includes

This is where visitors get confused, because "foot spa" covers two different things. One is a soak: warm water, a basin, twenty minutes of nothing much. The other is a treatment: shaping, cuticle work, heel and dead-skin removal, a hot towel, and a cream massage.

They are not the same product and they are not the same price. If the description does not say which one you are buying, ask — the difference is the whole experience.

Descriptions differ by salon; the list above is what the words mean, not a fixed package.

A manicure is a separate thing again: shaping and polish, or shaping, gel and cure. If you are booking both, book them together so you are not sitting twice.

Price bands, and what changes them

In this city a basic manicure sits near 100,000₫, a manicure with gel near 230,000₫, a full foot treatment near 300,000₫, and a longer ritual with a soak and several steps near 400,000₫. Those are the bands we can state, because we know our own menu; other salons vary and we do not quote them.

What moves the price inside a band: gel versus plain polish, how many steps the treatment has, and whether the soak is included. What should not move it: the day of the week or the hour — in a fixed-price salon the menu is the menu.

Tip is not expected in the way it is in some countries, and it is not included. If you want to leave something, do it in cash.

How to choose, and what to ask

The practical version: pick a salon within walking distance of where you are staying, book a slot in the hot hours, and do not schedule anything tight afterwards. An hour becomes ninety minutes more often than it becomes forty-five.

Where we fit — (our salon)

We run LENA Nails & Beauty, so read this section as ours rather than as a recommendation. Three branches: 89 Pham Tu in Son Tra, 211/88 Nguyen Van Thoai in An Hai, and 34 An Thuong 3 in An Thuong. Open 8:30–20:30, staff speak English and Vietnamese.

Two foot services, and the difference matters: the Deluxe Foot Spa (300,000₫) is shaping, cuticle work, heel and dead-skin removal, a hot towel and a cream massage — no soak. The VIP 4-in-1 (400,000₫) adds the soak in a single-use basin liner, then a salt scrub, a mud mask and a lotion, in that order. Five scents.

A manicure is 100,000₫ and a manicure with gel is 230,000₫. The salon is open-plan rather than divided into rooms; you sit with everyone else, which is also why it is a social hour rather than a silent one. Review score: 4.9★ · 1,800+ Google reviews.

What we do not publish: minutes per service. Timings vary with the nails in front of us, and a printed number would be wrong half the time.

Questions people ask

How long does a foot spa take in Da Nang?

We do not publish minutes — it depends on the treatment and the feet. Plan the slot as an hour and let it take what it takes.

What is the difference between the Deluxe and the VIP?

The Deluxe is a treatment without a soak: shaping, cuticle, heel, hot towel, cream massage. The VIP adds the soak, then salt scrub, mud mask and lotion.

Do I need to book?

It helps in the hot hours, which are when everyone else has the same idea. Walk-ins are normal outside those hours.

Is a tip expected?

No, and it is not included in the price. If you want to leave something, cash.
