The evening centres on the Han River: the bridge fires at 21:00 from Friday to Sunday, and the streets behind it stay busy until about 22:00. Night-market opening hours are not published anywhere we could verify, so plan the evening around the bridge.

Three clusters, three closing times
The river side is the first: Han Market, the promenade along the Han, the Dragon Bridge and the streets between them. It is the busiest after dark and the easiest to walk.
The second is the beach strip at My Khe and An Thuong: restaurants, a few bars, and food places that run later than the kitchens downtown because their customers are on holiday.
The third is Son Tra, north-east, where the night market sits near the beach road. It is smaller, more local and the one place where the market is the destination rather than a stop on the way to dinner.

The bridge, timed
The Dragon Bridge breathes fire for two minutes and water for three, starting at 21:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and on major public holidays. That is the official schedule, and it is the only fixed time in the Da Nang evening.
Everything else that evening is unstructured. The useful plan is dinner at 19:00, the bridge at 20:45, and a walk afterwards rather than a car — the roads around the bridge jam for twenty minutes after the water stops.
Night markets, honestly
What is reliable is the shape of the evening: food stalls first, then the sit-down places, then a tail of dessert and coffee that outlasts both. Han Market itself is a daytime market; the streets around it are what stays alive at night.
Prices at stalls are quoted per plate and are not published anywhere — pay what is asked, in small notes, and treat the first price as the price.
Getting home at night
Grab works across the city after dark and quotes before you book, which is the only price that stays true. The river side to the beach strip is 4.7 km, six minutes.
If you are walking, the promenade and the streets behind it are lit and busy until about 22:00; after that the city quiets quickly and the beach road is long and dark between blocks.
One practical note for the last night: if your flight is early, do not build the evening around it. The airport is 6 km from the beach and ten minutes away, but not at 05:00 with a queue.
Dinner, and the hour before the bridge
The practical evening is dinner at 19:00 on the river side, a walk to the bridge by 20:45, and ten minutes on foot afterwards to get ahead of the traffic. Eating at 20:00 means watching the bridge from a car.
Restaurants on the river side run at capacity between 19:00 and 21:00 on weekend nights. One reservation, for the meal that matters, is enough; the rest can be decided on the pavement.
If you are coming from the beach strip, the ride is 4.7 km and six minutes — short enough to do it twice in an evening, long enough that walking it in the dark is not a plan.

Questions people ask
What is there to do in Da Nang at night?
The river side: the bridge show at 21:00 on weekend nights, the promenade, the market streets. The beach strip for dinner and later kitchens.
What time do the night markets open?
No official hours are published that we could verify. Stalls appear as the evening cools and close between roughly 17:00 and 22:00.
Is the Dragon Bridge show every night?
No. 21:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, plus major public holidays — two minutes of fire, three of water.
Is it safe to walk at night?
The promenade is lit and busy until about 22:00. After that, take a Grab rather than a long walk on the beach road.
What time do the night markets close in Da Nang?
No published hours exist, and we will not invent one. Stalls thin out between about 21:00 and 22:00, so do not plan a 22:30 arrival.
Is there a night market near the Dragon Bridge?
The market streets behind the riverfront are the closest thing, within walking distance. The larger market cluster is on the Son Tra side, 8.5 km away.
